NYC HS improves online access for students, teachers
November 3,2009

NYC iSchool is a model high school program developed through a special initiative from the NYC Chancellor’s office. In a supportive environment, it offers a comprehensive college preparatory curriculum with a focus on interdisciplinary study of real-world problems, individualized learning, and on-line coursework. Technology is part of every content area and facilitates the individualized programming and on-line work.

NYC iSchool recently selected ClassLink’s LaunchPad to both expand and enhance their students’ technology experience. LaunchPad provides NYC iSchool teachers and students 24/7 anywhere access to their personalized desktop including all of their software and files.

“LaunchPad allows us to provide our students anytime anywhere access to our technology, and their data, without the expense of a one-to-one laptop program,” said Alisa Berger, Co-Principal, NYC iSchool. “Another benefit to using ClassLink solutions is the ease of maintenance. No longer do I need to provide maintenance to individual computers; all maintenance is done at our main server.”
