Evergreen Public Schools improves website, school communication

Evergreen Public Schools has licensed Schoolwire’s Centricity and Synergy solutions to help communicate the district’s brand and to make technology applications more accessible to teachers, staff and students.

Frank Decker, educational technology coordinator at Evergreen Public Schools, states that the district’s current website and tools are difficult to use, and that they don’t have the applications necessary to “create a polished and attractive web presence.” He reports that the Schoolwires platform will give the district “increased functionality and flexibility” so they can attract new families and employees, while improving communications with existing constituents and saving money over the current solution.

Centricity is a solution for connecting K-12 communities that helps with collaboration, incorporates file sharing, and enhances operational efficiency. Decker adds that it is “easy enough for non-tech-savvy teachers to create websites and teaching applications” while providing the tools for podcasts, flash and other applications that teachers might want to use. Synergy provides a web-based, centralized and secure solution for creating, editing and sharing digital content such as documents, files and presentations.
