The San Antonio Independent School District has purchased Learning Plans on Demand™ for its secondary schools. The Web-based program will be used to help teachers quickly create individual learning plans for students without complicated assessments.

Betty Burks, deputy superintendent for the district, said they purchased the program to help create learning plans for students who are most likely to drop out. LPOD is well suited to helping students who need intervention because it fits within the Response to Intervention model, wherein students receive more structured instruction as they move through tiers of intervention. The program quickly creates learning plans for a variety of grade levels and subjects from a large bank of assessment questions, tutorials and activities that are aligned to state standards and the assessments.

Teachers and administrators can also use the program to identify curriculum gaps for math, language arts, reading and science for any grade level from Kindergarten through the high school exit exams.
